Announcement – 2026 Patroller and Alumni Event at Stratton
The Third Patroller and Alumni event will be at Stratton March 15-20, 2026. It will be a week of skiing, information, camaraderie and après ski good times. We will again celebrate our shared passion for skiing and patrolling.
• Be there for however long it is fun for you! We hope you can stay the whole time, but your stay is up to you.
• No charge for notable alumni and patroller events. All costs for lodging, lift tickets and meals are on you.
LODGING:
Stratton Mountain is AGAIN providing rooms for $99 per night plus tax and VT Fees at Black Bear Lodge for the week of the event. This rate is for 1 or 2 people per room. We will post a link for reservations on the Patroller School Website as soon as it is available.
LIFT TICKETS:
Stratton Mountain is AGAIN giving us a great “Friends and Family” rate of $35.00 per day plus tax! Valid for the week of the event! Just go to the outside ticket window on the uphill side of the Base Lodge, identify as a participant in the National Ski Patrol Alumni group, and buy the appropriate number of 1-day tickets.
Announcement – 2025 Region Elections
The NSP Eastern Division Southern Vermont Region conducted bi-annual regional elections in the Fall 2025 OEC refresher season electronically with Election Runner. Voting was open from October 2, 2025 to November 16, 2025.
The following members were elected for two year terms beginning in spring 2026:

Announcement – 2026 Young Adult Patroller Seminar
8th Annual Southern Vermont Young Adult Patroller OEC/OET Enhancement Seminar to the SVT Region website
📅 Date: Sunday, January 25, 2026
📍 Location: The Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain – Wilmington, VT
This one-day seminar is designed to enhance both OEC and OET skills for Young Adult Patrollers of all experience levels—from beginner to advanced. The focus is simple: all fun, no stress, with an emphasis on hands-on skill building.
Registration
Registration is now open in the NSP Center for Learning on NSP.org.
The seminar is limited to 30 YAPs, and we expect to fill all spots quickly, so please encourage your YAPs to register right away.

• Senior OET Clinic #2 – Sunday January 11 or if there is interest… Monday, January 12, 2026 – at Stratton
• Senior OET Clinic #3 – Sunday, February 1, 2026 – Okemo
• Killington Patroller School – Saturday Feb 7 – Sunday Feb 8, 2026 – at Killington
• Senior OET Clinic #4 – Sunday, February 22nd, 2026 – Mount Snow
** 2026 Senior OET Evaluation – Sunday March 1st – at Killington **
Senior OET Candidates must complete an application, have it signed by their Patrol Rep or Patrol Director confirming the candidate is ready for Senior OET level training & evaluation. The application should then be emailed to ned@nedorourke.com. A copy of the application also needs to be brought to the first clinic you attend.
*Last day for Candidates to sign up for the 2025-26 season Senior OET program is Monday, December 29, 2025

Announcement – 2025 Region Elections
The Southern Vermont Region is conducting elections during the fall OEC refresher season with voting culminating after the last scheduled patrol refresher. The election is be run electronically with Election Runner. Election information and ballot invitations have been transmitted to member email accounts.
Mountain Host members currently registered with National Ski Patrol at Mount Snow, Okemo, and Stratton are eligible to vote and will receive ballots in the 2025 election cycle.
The 2025 election is for three offices for two year terms commencing in April 2026.

News – NSP Youth Protection Policy
Division has issued guidance on the new Youth Protection Policy and mandatory training. In summary, All Region and Division leadership are required to take the training. This must be completed annually by December 31. Additional information and guidance can be found here: Resources

Ski Patrollers Wanted – Magic Mountain 
Magic Mountain is currently recruiting new candidate patrollers or experienced patrollers to join our enthusiastic team for next season. No previous experience necessary and all relevant training will be provided. Ski / Snowboard interviews are taking place throughout the month of March at Magic Mountain.
